Our "big" ultrasound was today, so we got some cute little shots of our new baby-to-be! Everything looked great and the baby is healthy, weighing approximately 1 lb. 6 oz. I do have to go back next week for another ultrasound to measure the fluid levels...they weren't low but they want to make sure they either go up or stay the same. For some reason I have trouble keeping amniotic fluid around my babies, and no one really knows why. So we're just going to keep an eye on it.
We know the sex of the baby even though I didn't really want to know. I sort of wanted it to be a surprise, but Mike really wanted to know...and the more he talked about it the more I wanted to know too. I tried to stay strong but in the end it was too easy to find out.
There is still the surprise of who the baby will look like, will it have lots of hair or be bald? Blue eyes or brown? Light skin or dark? So many things to look forward to!
Anyway, here's our little one!
This little one was being particularly stubborn so we didn't get many pictures, but I can still see some chubby cheeks I think! And of course we're in love with that tiny little foot anyway!
I am 24 weeks and 2 days...roughly 16 more weeks to go!

Vegas Was A Blast! Now It's Back To Reality...
Well Vegas came and went, way too fast as I knew it would, but it was still incredibly fun to hang out with my best friend in an exhilarating place!
We laughed, walked, and shopped for four days straight. We had pedicures, manicures, facials, and massages. We ordered room service and ate cheesecake. We laid out by the pool in the warm Nevada sun. We bought wigs! We stayed in a room with a wall for a view and we could even see the outrageous humor in that. Not one moment of our trip was disappointing! It was so much fun to just be girls for a little bit...not mommies or wives...just girls. I have a few pictures and will upload those later.
As much fun as it was to be away, I also looked forward to coming home to my boys. They had fun while I was away too, hiking and playing here in Hawaii.
Now it's back to the grind...and even with my vacation fresh in my mind, I'm glad to be home too. My classes start tomorrow so it's time to hit the books and try to learn statistics (ewwww). It's time to cook dinner and do some laundry. And it's time to get ready for this baby!
Our "big" ultrasound will be on Friday, April 23rd. I still do not want to know if it's a boy or a girl, but Mike really does. I guess we'll find out on Friday who will win, lol! He thinks if he knows he can keep it a secret from me, but I highly doubt he would be able to. I really want it to be a surprise though, and I'm the boss of stuff like this. So there.

Leaving For Vegas!
Nothing much new to report, although I am house hunting in the Ewa Beach area. Housing here will not be able to accommodate our growing family (we now qualify for a 5-bedroom) and so I'm hoping to get out of our lease and move to a 4-bedroom in Ewa. We have lots of friends who live down there and the homes are literally blocks from the beach! It's a private community that used to be Navy housing. It's older, so the houses aren't the greatest, but I'm still looking, just to see what's out there.
Tomorrow I leave for Las Vegas, leaving in the evening but not arriving until Friday morning. I am so stoked to have some downtime with my best friend...where we can just do girly things like manicures and pedicures and window shop all day long if we want to. Probably not much gambling, maybe some slots but that's about it. Mostly we are just wanting to relax and enjoy some freedom from our everyday lives.
The boys are doing great, getting bigger every day. JoJo is becoming a young man right before my eyes, it's insane! Brandon and Mikey are growing like weeds too, and pretty soon Mikey won't be my little baby anymore! Speaking of which, the baby seems to be doing just fine too. I have the "big" ultrasound next week where they do all the measurements and whatnot. Hopefully they'll be able to keep the sex a secret as I would really like to be surprised this time (Mike is undecided if he wants to know or not!). We have made most of the big purchases: crib, changing table, stroller and car seat. We have clothing and blankets and diapers...just about everything to get us started. I didn't save anything from Mikey so we had to start all over again! But I think we are fairly ready...just need maybe a swing and a highchair later on down the line.
School is going good, I passed my first class with a B. Next I have Statistics and another nursing class, and I am NOT looking forward to the statistics class. I already received my books and it all looks like a foreign language to me! Tons of symbols and numbers and strange words...no wonder my academic advisor warned me about the difficulty of the class. I hope I can get through it and pass...and I am glad I'm doing it now instead of after the baby.
Well, I'm off to run some errands. Leaving for Vegas tomorrow! Yeah!
